
Microsoft just announced a price drop on the 360 lineup. The Xbox 360 is getting a $50 price drop starting this Wednesday. The 20GB model will be $350, the Elite with 120GB of storage will be $450, and the Core will retail for $280.

The popular video game retail outlet, EB Games Australia, have issued a recall on their Xbox 360s. The recall is believed to be due to a faulty batch of HDDs, as it did not include Core units. All of the systems at the store are listed as Sold Out, and will be restocked with fresh shipments in Australia on Wednesday.

Microsoft has announced the Halo 3 special edition Xbox console which comes with a whole lot of Halo accessories. Too bad, it does not come with Halo 3 game. Read the list of accessories after the jump.

Microsoft has recently announced the availability of its Chatpad accessory. Priced at $29.99, the two-piece Xbox 360 Messenger Kit will include the Chatpad and a headset. The device will launch on September 4th, 2007. Buy it here.

Microsoft and Bungie have teamed up to release two new Xbox 360 Limited Edition “Halo 3″ wireless controllers. Designed by Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn, the controller and headset will both be available once Halo 3 is released later this year. You can also pre-order them at select retailers. In order to promote the new Simpsons Movie, Microsoft will be releasing limited edition versions of the Xbox 360 themed, The Simpsons. Only one hundred of these limited edition consoles will be made. No other information has been revealed. The Simpsons Movie will be out in theaters on July 27th.
