Mesquite, Texas-based independent developer id Software today announced that they are working on the new Doom 4 video game. They said that the game will be based on the Tech 5 engine, which means the game will be available on the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC. This is good news because Doom is one of my favorite video games. [Gamasutra]

Capcom’s Rocketmen: It Came From Uranus will be released on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 for Xbox Live Arcade and Thursday, May 15 for PlayStation Network.
