The FCC has finally approved the Activision Top Shot Elite controller. The gun relies on a sensor bar and high-sensitivity camera for movement tracking. This gaming controller has analog controllers near the end of its barrel and on the back of the gun’s grip, and a pump-action reloading mechanism that works similarly to a shotgun. The Activision Top Shot Elite controller also features a scope with a red lens, giving players a different perspective on the environment. Activision will release the Top Shot Elite with a hunting game called Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011. The Top Shot Elite is scheduled for release this Fall for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. [Wireless Goodness]

Mario Red Nintendo Wii

Nintendo will release a new variant of the Nintendo Wii in Mario Red. The gaming console comes equipped with the new Wii Remote Plus peripheral, which combines the functionality of a Wii Remote and a MotionPlus controller. The new Mario Red Nintendo Wii will be released in Japan on November 11st, 2010 for 20,000 Yen ($240). [Nintendo]

2K games today announced that their latest iteration of the Top Spin tennis series ‘Top Spin 4’ is scheduled to be out in 2011. For your info, the game is currently being developed by 2k Czech and will be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii platforms. [Kotaku]

THQ uDraw Drawing Tablet For Nintendo Wii

THQ has rolled out the uDraw GameTablet for the Nintendo Wii. This drawing tablet will come bundled with an expansive drawing, coloring and art-based video games known as uDraw Studio, Pictionary, and Dood’s Big Adventure. The device is described a small white handheld tablet with a 4 x 6-inch drawing space and a detachable, pressure-sensitive, stylus designed to provide more subtle control and precision than available on the traditional Wii Remote. The Wii Remote docks discretely within the uDraw GameTablet, allowing the device to draw power directly from the Wii Remote. The uDraw GameTablet also supports tilt-and-roll movement options, which allows you to interact and control in-game characters by moving and directing them through game levels. [Pocket-lint]

Goldeneye 007 Classic Edition Wii Controller

Activision has introduced an exclusive gold-colored Classic Controller Pro that will be bundled with the Classic Edition of the upcoming Goldeneye 007 game for the Nintendo Wii. The game will support the Wiimote, Nunchuck, along with the Wii Zapper, while the Classic Controller will give shooter fans “a familiar control scheme,” according to Activision’s David Pokress. Harmonix and MTV Games have finally announced the Rock Band 3 release date for North America. This music video game is scheduled to hit US on October 26th for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS platforms. [VG247]
