The latest Sony PlayStation firmware update 3.10 is now available for download. The new firmware adds the Facebook feature allowing you to link your PlayStation network account to your Facebook account. You will have the option for the PS3 to automatically update your Facebook News Feed with Trophy and PlayStation Store activity. Sony Japan just announced the very first 250GB PS3 bundle. For 41,600 Yen ($459), Japanese gamers will get a special limited edition system with Lightning (the main character of Final Fantasy XIII) printed on the body. The console will be available for purchase in Japan on December 17th, 2009. [The Banzai Effect]
Word has it that the Sony PS3 Slim will enter production stage sometime next month with a same month delivery date. This could coincide with an August price cut for the vanilla PS3 if the PS3 Slim proved to be true. Sadly, tehre is no official confirmation from Sony. Stay tuned for more updates. More
