Sega has finally announced that Bayonetta will be released in the US on January 5th, 2010 and in Europe on January 8th, 2010. FYI, Bayonetta is an action game for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 consoles, directed by Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe series creator Hideki Kamiya at Platinum Games in cooperation with publisher Sega. Sky has confirmed the release date for its Sky Player on demand video player for Microsoft Xbox Live in the UK. The Sky Player will be released on October 27th, 2009. The Sky Player on Xbox deal means owners of the console will get access to on demand content and live streaming, as long as they have the correct Sky account (or are willing to pay for a subscription). According to TeamXbox, Microsoft’s upcoming digital entertainment handheld system codenamed xYz is in the final design stages. This new handheld gaming system puts itself somewhere in-between the Xbox and Zune platforms, giving you a range of entertainment features including Live Anywhere as found on Xbox, media playback, gaming and internet connectivity, but no phone. Microsoft has officially announced that the Xbox 360 Arcade units will be equipped with 256MB of internal storage so you can save games and download content without the need of external Memory Unit.
