Gran Turismo 5’s North American box art has been released. Its cover features the Mercedes SLS AMG. Sony says the Mercedes SLS AMG was “chosen from a total of nearly 1000 cars recreated down to the finest detail” to be Gran Turismo 5’s cover star. Stay tuned for more updates. [Kotaku]
Sony has recently announced its Gran Turismo PSP Entertainment Pack that will be launched on October 20th, 2009 for $199.99. The pack consists of a Mystic Silver PSP-3000 console, a Gran Turismo PSP game on UMD, a PlayStation Network downloadable voucher for a white Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, a 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, a PlayStation Network downloadable movie voucher, and a Sony Music Pass voucher good for 10 downloadable songs (available to U.S. residents only). Here’s the latest gameplay video of Polyphony Digital’s upcoming Gran Turismo 5 title for the PS3 platform. The game is said to offer an online mode with 16 players capability, and also included for the first time will be damage modeling. Watch the video after the jump. More
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed that the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be released on March 26 for $50 on Blu-ray, and on March 27 on the Sony PlayStation Network. The Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will feature 71 cars and 6 race tracks including Eiger Nordwand; the Daytona International Speedway; the London City Track; the Fuji Speedway, Suzuka and the High Speed Ring. The video game will also feature new online multiplayer support for up to 16 players. The European version will feature an additional Drift Mode, two-player split-screen racing, car tuning and more.
