Amazon is up with another sale, this time they’re offering you the Gears Of War 2 title for the Xbox 360 for just $39.99 shipped (original price $59.99). This third-person tactical action game features “a multiplayer mode that allows up to 10 simultaneous players for outstanding multiplayer fun.” [Product Page via Techeblog]

According to an announcement by Sumthing Else Music Works, the Gears of War soundtrack will be released on July 31, 2007. The original soundtrack features over an hour of orchestral music from the game written by Kevin Riepl, and performed by The Northwest Sinfonia Orchestra.
Good news for Mac fans, it was announced that both Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3 will be heading to the Mac platform. The news was announced by Epic Games co-founder Mark Rein when he was interviewed by Spike TV’s “Game Head” show. Now Mac fans have something more to do than just give ‘jobs’ to Steve.
