I spent more than 15- 20 hours to finish the Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay on Playstation 3. If you have watched the 1999 sci-fi horror movie Pitch Black, then you are familiar with Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel), who is the main character of this game. However, you don’t have to spend your time watching these two movies in order to understand what’s going on in the game. The game has no multiplayer mode. So, you will play only the single player mode.
Setting
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay is played mostly from a first-person perspective. The game combines excellent shooting, hand-to-hand combat, stealth, and adventure elements with a rich story and high quality graphics and sounds. The events of Butcher Bay are placed years before those of the feature film, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, and expand the story from the movie. In Escape from Butcher Bay, you play as Riddick and his attempt to escape from Butcher Bay, an Alcatraz-like jail surrounded by a huge desert. It is a highly-secured prison, so you should keep your eyes on, or you will be killed by the guards. No prisoner has ever been known to escape from Butcher Bay.
