Envizions offers a spanking new console for the mass market. Known as the EVO Smart Console, it is powered by an AMD Athlon 64×2 5600 2.4GHz processor, ATI HD 3200 graphics processor, 2GB DDR2 RAM, supports H.264 VC1, MPEG2 video codecs, DVI and HDMI connectivity, 120GB hard drive, and CD/DVD ROM and integrated biometric scanner. This open-source console also comes with a Fedora-based Linux distro that offers game play, Internet access, VoIP communications and HD video playback. The gadget is also compatible with Envizions “cloud” computing service, where users can browse Amiga-based games and an Akimbo-based VOD (video on demand) service. Nintendo gives three new colors to the Nintendo DSi. Priced at ¥18,900 each, the new Nintendo DSi will be released in Japan on March 20th, 2009. For your info, Australia will receive only black and white DSi models starting April 2nd; Europe will get the new black or white DSi on April 3rd; and the US will receive its DSi on April 5th in either black or blue.
