Sony PlayStation 3 Firmware Update 2.70

Sony has released a new firmware update for Sony PlayStation 3. The firmware update 2.70 will continue to enhance your connected experience with the PS3. Some improvements include a new Text Chat feature that allows you to keep in touch with your PlayStation Network friends online, letting you chat with up to 15 different contacts simultaneously with the help of a Wireless Keypad. Other enhancements include :

1. Friends list on the XMB (XrossMediaBar).
2. Sort your friends via their online status.
3. Attach larger files to the messages you send to your friends (file size will increase from 1MB to 3MB).
4. Video delivery service on PlayStation Store.
5. Videos you’ve purchased for PSP (PlayStation Portable) system can now be transferred to PS3 for playback.
