The highly anticipated Sony PlayStation 3 Slim has been officially unveiled in the US market. Priced at just $299, the new model is actually a cost-reduced version of the current version. The console is now 32% smaller, 36% lighter and will consume 34% less energy than its predecessor. The PS3 Slim will be available in September 2009. Watch the video after the jump.
