Gamepad Concept

What you’re seeing is the latest gamepad concept from Hakan Bogazpinar, designer from Turkey. It easily substitutes the tiny directional keys on the right-bottom side of your keyboard, for an easy reaching up, down, right, left buttons and probably number 1-10, for some spells or weapon easy buttons. The design looks classy, and friendly to the hand also. I’ve been wanting for some keypad replacement that alleviates my tired hurting hand. [BeHance]

Red Faction Guerilla Preview

Red Faction

What makes this game stand out from other multiplayer 3rd party action games is that, you get to blow up buildings and destroy the environment, unlike other shooting games where you hide comfortably at that corner of the building, even when the enemies are firing rockets your way - it’s too unreal. So in the distant future when we’ve found a new home on the crimson soil of Mars, we get to dominate lands and properties, and fight for it, literally. You’ll find the usual assortment of assault rifles, shotguns, pistols, and other staple weaponry, but a few other ‘interesting’ weapons exist. Meet the grinder, a gun that shoots radial saw blades like bullets. It has low firing rate, but it easily satisfies my psycho-pathological tendency. Explosions come fast and often, too, as you can equip yourself with satchel charges, proximity mines, or other tools to wreak havoc on people or buildings. Available for PS3, XBOX360 and PC. Slated for release in 2009. [RedFaction] More »

Legendary Monsters on XBOX360

Legendary

Legendary is a first-person shooter in which you’ll assume the role of a thief who, accidentally opens Pandora’s Box inside a New York museum and unleashes all kinds of mythological monsters. When they’re not busy tearing your colleagues to shreds, Legendary’s werewolves like to run around and scale walls, which can make them tough targets to keep in your sights. Werewolves are not really dead until you separate the head from the body, so decapitation is mandatory. Our arsenal includes the basics like submachine gun, shotgun, and an assault rifle, and some advance weapons that you just have to see for yourself (no spoiler here). Not to worry for shortage of ammo, we got plenty to pick up as we move along. Expect to see minotaur, and hugely rendered Griffin. Legendary is landing at September 30th on retail. [TeamXBOX]

Rachet & Clank: Quest for Booty

Rachet and Clank Quest for Booty
The upcoming title is special because it will be a smaller game downloadable on PS3’s PlayStation Network for $14.99. It will continue the story of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, but it will focus more on platforming and puzzle-solving than before, and it will require players to think more than they’ve needed to in the past. Ratchet will also have new skills, including environmental manipulation through his wrench. [IGN]
