Nintendo Boosts DS Production

Nintendo have increased the DS Lite production from 2,2 million per month to a massive 2,5 million units every month. They are trying to keep up with the demand for the DS Lite since it sold millions in 2006. So far a reported 35 million handhelds have been sold (28 million is the official number), 15 million in Japan alone. As of December 13, 2006, 8,5 million have been sold in Europe, and as of November 30, 2006, 6,5 million in the US.
