It has been announced that FFXIII will only be released in America and Europe, but not Japan. This, according to Yoichi Wada, Square Enix President, was mainly due to the insignificant sales of XBOX 360 console in that region. It is known that the cost of production of migrating game from one console to another is very expensive, and research indicates that the sales might not outweigh the cost. This move had also dissapointed many Japanese XBOX 360 owners, quite contradictory to Square intention to “reach out” more fans. [finalfantasy-xiii.net]
