Rainbow Six: Las Vegas Delayed For PSP/PS3

Rainbow Six: Las Vegas Delayed For PSP/PS3

Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six: Las Vegas will be delayed on the PlayStation 3 and PSP, until January 30, 2007. However, there is no specific reason has been given for the delay. It has been assumed that the delay was caused to add online play feature to the game, while the Xbox360 version was released yesterday, with online multiplayer support. So far, the game has received raving reviews by the few sources that have gotten the chance to try the game out.

Nintendo DS MP3 Player

Nintendo DS MP3 Player

I can’t believe it! The Nintendo DS will soon be able to play music. How is this possible? Using a special cartridge that can accept SD memory cards, the console will locate and play MP3 files. The player will come with a 512MB SD card, but you can use larger capacity card. Unfortunately, video files are completely incompatible.

This special function will also be available for the Game Boy Advanced and the Game Boy Micro, and looks like it will lead to a complete repackaging of the DS as we know it.

Sony Updates PSP Firmware to Version 3.0

Sony has released version 3.0 firmware for the Sony PSP in Japan. The 3.0 update is now available via the Network Update feature on the PSP. Using its WiFi capabilities, the new firmware lets you access images and music on a PS3, and let you use the PSP as a remote play device for the PS3. This new firmware is able to accommodate a forthcoming add-on camera, and lets you toggle a function that causes a game to automatically load when you insert a UMD.
